Pi Zero W wifi connection issues.
-
Please forgive me as I have searched and couldn't find my exact issue.
I am running RetroPie 4.3 and for some reason I cannot connect to my home wifi with my Pi Zero W. I think it's likely a setting on my router but am not sure.
When I am in the wifi set-up within RetroPie I find my network no problem. I type my password and after a hesitation I get "Unable to connect to network XXXXXXXX"
If I take my iPhone and turn on a personal hotspot and go through the same steps it connects to that wifi network with zero trouble.
My wireless router is an Apple Airport router and my network is WPA/WPA2 personal if that helps.
Again, I am sorry if I didn't search well enough and this has already be addressed.

@rockinrado stupid question but have you tried rebooting?
-
Not stupid as I am pretty new to setting this thing up, but yes I have.
-
Ive tried adding network details to:
etc/network/interfaces -
@rockinrado a post from apple's page doesn't look encouraging: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6117571?tstart=0
Other thing is to make sure the characters on your password are being typed in correctly as some have had issues with that due to keyboard locale stuff. But if you said it worked through a hotspot I'd be willing to place blame on the router/router settings
-
I thought the same thing but the password shows up correct in "interfaces".
That, and I haven't had any issues writing a script for a power button or some of the other things I have done. That is basically why I believe it is my router. Trouble is I do not know what if any changes need to be made.

GOT IT TO WORK!!! Simple fix.
My network was "The Painters" no luck
Changed it to all one lower cased word...CONNECTION!!!
