Images with Computers (Amiga specifically) and ScummVM
-
Hey all. New here, just setup the ol' pi and got into some images in the last couple of days. It seems 128GB is the new standard for SDs, so I've tried a few images, and wowee, the scene has really moved on since I had a tinker with a pi1 a few years back and got some games to play.
There are some real nice themes and prebuilt images out there.Everyone seems to have a big DC and N64 folder even though the games dont work well, and I wonder, do people really use them? I find playing games that are anything below 98% perfect just bugs me. And furthermore, Amiga is so often skipped, when loads of really great games can play from a single configuration, with standard joystick setup. I'd love to see a really sweet image like PiPiggies or the comicbook theme one that had Amiga in there - sure, I could grab it and add my games but then I wouldnt have the artwork. I love ScummVM too - seems more people are keen to play quick arcadey games I guess, and not wanting to use the mouse.
So a plea to those who work on themes and build images - please consider including Amiga and ScummVM in your future builds! I'm sure with the space saved by omitting a bunch of partially working N64 and DC games, we could easily cover the best hundredish Amiga games, few CD32 and a couple of dozen ScummVM. If you could just do the artwork, I'd even build the pack (Amiga - I'd have to redownload the SCUMM games as I only have them on an Xbox currently 200 miles away. If you've never played Amiga, you'll find more variety and quality here than on any other 16 bit system IMO.
Just my 2p, thanks for listening! Keep up the good work all...

@rcp90totheface first of all you should read the forum rules. We do not support pre-built images. We do not share pre-built images and we do not build pre-built images.
Next, several themes including my ComicBook theme supposed amiga and scumm vm and the artwork is all completed and there for you.

Thanks for the reply. Hmm, yeah, probably should have read the rules. Ok, interesting. The comicbook themed pre-built image that some guy I met down the pub was showing me didnt have either of those systems, but maybe his just didnt have any roms, or he'd removed them. Not that I'd play any of the roms if he did. I'll look again...
