Kodi 17.3 Krypton unable to connect via Retropie 4.3
-
Hi, I've just started with the Retropie and have come across an issue with my Kodi application. Everything else seems to be functioning without a problem, now that I'm in my Kodi (within Ports from Retropie), I cannot add any add-ons. Regardless of the http address, I keep getting the "Unable to Connect : Couldn't retrieve directory information. This could be due to the network not being connected. Would you like to add it anyway?"
Now I've caught a few Youtube videos mentioning to remove the last / in the address or an invisible space at the beginning of the http. None of those solutions changed the outcome. Now under my System Informtaion, under Network, my statusd for "Link" & "Internet" are both labelled as connected.
Please help!Pi Model or other hardware: Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Board

Built From: SD Image on RetroPie website
USB Devices connected: memory card with roms, usb wireless keyboard dongle, ps3 controller cord

Error messages received: "Unable to Connect : Couldn't retrieve directory information. This could be due to the network not being connected. Would you like to add it anyway?"
Emulator: Kodi 17.3 KryptonThanks in advance!

@erikaudet You are probably either trying to connect to sources that have been taken down or you are typing the address incorrectly. There have been massive changes in the TP addon scene for Kodi recently. Things have settled down a bit now but a lot of repos and sources disappeared. So if you are watching videos or reading guides from a few months ago the information is useless and totally out of date.

@jonnykesh forum rules still apply to Kodi too.

@herb_fargus Ah sorry. Didn't realise mentioning the subreddit would be an issue. Apologies.
