Do the ROMs have to be Zipped or UnZipped?? Or does it even matter??

Also, if you're new, I can recommend reading the docs. It's very thorough, and provides answers to many, many things.
I know it's an annoying answer, you probably just wanna get going and start gaming, but especially with MAME, you get farther by not rushing it.
