I am currently using a rasp B and running the most recent retropie with kodi 17.3. I have been trying to find any help. With updating to 17.4. But have had no luck. Is it possible. Or do I have to wait unti a new version of retropie has been released

Other than following videos from other users I have no idea on using Linux

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@wrenchbender Kodi 17.4 was added a few days ago. Update setup script. Update all installed packages.

RetroPie is updated every few days usually. Mostly minor updates, tweaks, fixes etc. These aren't all given a huge announcement, that's just how things are done.
I normally update about once a week and just happened to notice 17.4 installing.

@wrenchbender Kodi is installed via the official repos and right now RetroPie doesn't prefer a specific version. Whenever the official repos get a version, that version will also appear in the system that RetroPie is running if you update.

@mitu official Jessie repos didn't get updated with 17.4 so we use the pipplware repo on top now.

@wrenchbender - @BuZz is correct, I remembered the discussion back on the forums a few weeks back about the change and thought that these are the official repos provided by Kodi (certainly not by Raspbian).

@jonnykesh greatly appreciate the info. Guesse I should update more often. Rather than waiting for an announcement Been using the new 17.4 for 2hrs now and still no buffering or freezing

@wrenchbender You could also check out the github if you are curious about what's been changed since you last updated.
