I'm running RetroPie image 4.3 updated to 4.3.3. I installed the optional Port SDLPoP (version 1.17) I believe.

When using an XBOX 360 wireless controller it seems to work fine until you touch the right thumb stick. Once you move the right thumb stick you can only take "careful" (shift) steps and your character no longer runs. The only way I found to correct the issue is exit the game and start over. Anyone else with the same issue.

Is this an issue to take upstream?

I opened a new issue a few weeks ago and it seems it has been messed up from a previous commit. He commented he didn't have RetroPie setup but later commented that it's reproduce-able on Windows. I think it will get fixed at some point down the road here if anyone else plays Prince of Persia via controller, the keyboard works fine.

There was an update to PoP just recently to correct some issues but when I try and download from source I get this error:

@riverstorm Should be sorted with https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/commit/658ab90ee9f17663b703feb2de1fc4d4debf5b22

Thanks Buzz, that worked perfect. Playing PoP on the keyboard works great but not so well with a controller. They have a fully working menu to save, load, settings, exit, etc. now. You can jump, duck, etc. no problem but for some reason the analog and d-pad does some weird things when trying to move. I'll post over there and see if they can address it.

On a side note I was looking at the Dreamcade that is taking pre-orders now. I am on the fence because really if they sold their interface you could install it on an Intel NUC (looks almost exactly the same) and have the same product. They do have about 16 years building full arcade cabs so their interface is streamlined and polished. They originally were going to make it look like a retro style Atari-ish case but the final product is just a micro PC. Anyway I was just trying to view some video of the actual interface and product working and it's crazy the number of videos talking of being "RetroPie killer?" "Better than a RetroPie?", "The next RetroPie?", on and on. All I can think is they [RetroPie] is doing it right! :)
