I was messing around in the main menu and somehow got it to only display the sound settings and quit options when I press start on retropie 4.3.3. I am wondering how to get it back to normal again.

@toomanylegos @lostless is being serious. You have entered Kiosk mode. You can enter the Konami code to exit it. More info at: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Child-friendly-EmulationStation/#ui-modes

@Zigurana would it make sense to add a popup prompt with a "OK" and "Cancel" confirmation, with info on what Kiosk mode is, and how to exit from it? I can imagine how it can be confusing if people get into it by mistake.

              Thoughts?

@pjft There should definitely be a confirm screen with a warning and a reminder of how to revert to FULL mode. I have seen this same question pop up a lot recently in different places.

Yeah, I 'll whip something up!

If tetris has thought me anything, it's that errors pile up and that accomplishments dissappear.

@zigurana I think I still may have a running example of that in GuiVideoScreensaverOptions::save(), though it's a single button, not giving the option to cancel, if it helps.

I've added a confirmation pop-up when changing the UI-mode to something other than FULL. This should reduce some of the confusion.

If you want to try this out, please install the EmulationStation-dev branch from the experimental menu.

@zigurana Can you make it flash red and have a loud siren noise?

@zigurana Sorry, but it is Kiosk mode on the main branch, not Kid.

EDIT: Just re-read it. The warning will come up when you change to any mode that is not full. Apologies.

Both of them are in the dev-branch, that's where the popup also lives, you know, in the FUTURE!!1!
