Retropie under Ubuntu and other PC distributions?
-
Hi,
I want to put RetroPie on a PC from the following article:
https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Debian/
It starts by saying:
A guide to build the RetroPie setup on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS x86 and Debian based distros.
So two questions I want to confirm.
Is there any way it can run on the 64 bit distro's?
Also is it locked into Ubuntu 16.04 or can it run with any Ubuntu that is later then this build number?
Thanks,
Ward.

I don't think it's locked to a specific version, it only means the configuration has been tested under that system release specifically. You can give it a try even if it's a newer release or the x86_64 information.

I'm running it on a Chromebook that is running GalliumOS, so it's not locked to Ubuntu itself. That said, GalliumOS is an offshoot of xubuntu.

@wardh I'm running it on Ubuntu 17.10
