      Hey guys,
just installed 4.3 and configured it based on this page:
      https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Controller-Configuration/

I have a 360 contoller connected via usb. I can load various games on the NES sysem like Control or DigDug and play the game just fine with the buttons, however when I push Back+Start (Back is my select button) or Select+B or Select+X, nothing happens.

Not sure what to check to fix. I've reconfigured my controller at least 5 times now but same issue.

Pi Model or other hardware: RPI3
Power Supply used: The recommended one from my local retailer(Deltaco USB Power supply 5V/2.5A)
RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest): 4.3
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
USB Devices connected: USB Keyboard, X360 Wireless Receiver via USB, USB wired XBOX controller
Controller used: Official Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller
      Error messages received: none
File: (File with issue - with FULL path): nonte
How to replicate the problem: Going into any game, pressing the hotkeys and unable to make it work

@reginaldsharma You probably mapped a different button to the Hotkey button, so try using that button instead of Select (i.e. Hotkey + Start to exit, etc.).

reinstalled 4.1 and the hotkeys are working fine.
Something with 4.3 is causing this issue.

Will install 4.2 now and see if that works.

@reginaldsharma 4.1 and 4.2 have the hotkey automatically assigned to 'select'. In 4.3 you have to specify which button the hotkey should be.

              @mitu
i "not assigned" it when it asked me to
but next time around i made it the xbox button. still was having issues.
              4.1 seems to work perfectly

See what @BobHarris also said. If you mapped the now 'xbox' button as Hotkey, then it will replace what you previously used (Select) in the button combinations you're trying now. If you left the Hotky button unmapped, then the input dialog will ask you if you want to use Select and then it should work as in ver. 4.1.
