Great Forum. I've searched high and low can't solve this issue. The up/down/left/right work fine but the hotkeys and buttons prioritize to user 1 bind.

      Pi Model or other hardware: (B, B+, 2 B, 3, X86 PC etc..) Pi 3
Power Supply used: (If using a Pi) – CanaKit 2.5A
RetroPie Version Used (eg 3.6, 3.8.1, 4.1 - do not write latest): 4.3.8
Built From: (Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website, Berryboot, or on top of existing OS etc.. - please provide the filename of any image used) 08272017retropie32gb.img (from Level1Online on Youtube)
USB Devices connected: 4 total. 2 x Zero Delay LED USB Encoders for EasyGet kit, 1 x USB controller Saitek P880, 1 x keyboard. Tried moving ports.
      Controller used: see above
      Error messages received: see below.
Log found in /dev/shm/runcommand.log (if relevant): n/a
Guide used: (Mention if you followed a guide) tons of youtube clips and forums searches.
File: (File with issue - with FULL path) -
Emulator: (Name of emulator - if applicable), all but specifically NES, lr-fceumm and lr-mame2010
Attachment of config files: (PLEASE USE PASTEBIN.COM FOR LARGE LOGS)
      How to replicate the problem:

I have been researching this for several days and many hours. I am a complete noob. I built an arcade with Arcade joysticks and buttons. I also have a USB port for a generic USB controller. They both work independently. I’ve tried different orders and maybe I’m using the RetroPie-joystick-selection incorrectly. the mapping of the buttons do not sync up. When I fire up NES, the arcade joystick and buttons function and the USB Saitek functions but the mapping defaults to whatever is player 1 in RetroArch. Same for hotkeys. Does this make sense? My ultimate goal is to be playing mame games and other arcade games with the arcade joystick and buttons yet when I plug in the USB generic controller I want to be able to play NES (ie Mike Tyson‘s Punch out), and the controller be mapped properly. Sorry if I’m asking this question wrong. the arcade joystick kit is EasyGet DragonRise and the USB controller is Saitek P880. Thanks and Merry Christmas!
