I am running retropie 4.2 with kodi 17.3 installed. I have had this set up previously and was able to restart, power off, etc from kodi but now I can only "Quit" from the power menu. This means to safely quit I have to quit to emulationstation then power down from there.

Can anyone help me power down straight from kodi?

@sphirst Latest available via RetroPie is 17.4. Update and see if it works.

How do I get 17.4 without updating to retropie 4.3?

@sphirst No idea. Any reason you don't want 4.3.x?

You can update just the RetroPie Setup script and then update the Kodi package. I'm also curious why you don't want to update to 4.3. If there's an issue, it's always best to get it fixed rather than stay with outdated software components.

I had a problem with 4.3 - every time I played something from Kodi, the screen would go black after playback. I would have to reboot to restore the GUI. I couldn’t find a resolution so the only way to solve it was to roll back to 4.2 where I have no problems with the screen going black after playback. Unfortunately I have this other issue that I’ve not encountered before. Worth noting that I ran Kodi 17.3 before and had the option to reboot/shut down.
