Need help with english patch games

So I downloaded some Japanese games with English patches but they seem to have some issues I can't work around. Like Animetic Story Game 1 - Card Captor Sakura keeps getting stuck at the checking memory card part. The others Suiko gaiden and bloody bride keep freezing up at the new game screen. They seem to work for others and even Japanese versions from other sites have the same issues.
