Installed first time

  • I've installed retropie first time on new raspberry pi 3 as there no emulators installed as how I add emulators on the menu? It my first time.

  • @gamebennyboy First off, Hello.
Second, you need to read the docs. Seriously, or you are going to have a LOT of questions, that frankly have been answered a million times. Also the docs explain all this.
The systems do not appear until you have valid ROMs in the correct folders and then restart Emulation Station.

There are many default emulators that do come installed already.

But nothing will show up until you add game roms to your roms folder.

And no one will be able to tell you where to find the game roms. You will have to let google be your friend.

For arcade games you have to be careful about which roms you use as certain emulator versions are only compatible with certain roms built for them. But there is also a lot of crossover.

One thing that got me early on is that many game roms are dependant on having other game roms installed as well as they share the same files. But there are instructions on how to make is so that your roms have everything they need all in one too.
