linapple suddenly crashing when using f3/f4 to mount disk image
-
I successfully installed linapple on my Retropie.
Worked like a champ for some time but suddenly when I try to use the f3/f4 key to 'insert' a .dsk image, it simply crashes back to the EmulationStation Apple II screen.
I have changed nothing.
I'm sorry I can't provide more information on versions, etc. but I simply don't know how to assess what version(s) I'm using.
I can't any additional information other than I can guarantee it worked before, all of a sudden it just doesn't. Did Microsoft have a hand in linapples development? :P

@guywithguitars did you try rebooted the pi to rule out some issue? Otherwise i would go into retropie setup, update retropie-setup, then uninstall then reinstall linapple from binary not source. Had you played since the last time you updated linapple? There have been a couple bad updates of linapple when updating from source so i recommend updating from binary.

@edmaul69 Figured it out! Woo hoo! I had to edit the linapple.conf file and remove the path pointing to a directory+disk image that no longer exists under the disk image setting.

@guywithguitars awesome. When you update linapple there is a “backup” file that has the new changes to it. You should copy the info out if that one into the linapple.conf file

Sorry to bring this old topic back from the dead, but I was trying to play a bit of Wizardry this morning after a year without launching linapple and I'm having the same problem, but I can't find the path mentioned by GuyWithGuitars in the linapple.conf file. Could anybody give me some pointers?
