I want to get to the retroarch menu while I play psx game I press start+select and the menu doesn't appear. With other emulators (snes, nes, gba) it works. What can I do to access retroarch menu with psx games? retropie 4.3. raspberry pie 3 model b.

@yefet default retroarch menu is select+x

Select+start is the default to exit the game

@yefet if you have changed things from the default then you better list step by step what you have done. Otherwise no one will be able to help you. You should also answer the questions that were asked of you before you submitted your post.

Maybe you aren’t using a Libreto emulator, which are those that run under Retroarch and therefore allow for the menu to appear. Press any button on your controller while a ROM is loading. This should bring the screen that allows for the selection of the default emulator for a system or ROM. The Libreto ones are conventionally named lr-“emulator name”. In the case of PS1, make sure to select as default lr-pcsx-reamerd on the first line.
