      I feel like I've done everything right here. I've installed the emulator from the Optional Packages menu, I've put some known working .DSK files in the roms/samcoupe folder that appeared on installation and I've added the following lines to es_systems.cfg in /opt/retropie/configs/all/emulationstation:

      <system>
      <name>samcoupe</name>
      <fullname>SAM Coupe</fullname>
      <path>/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/samcoupe</path>
      <extension>.DSK</extension>
      <command>/opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh 0 SYS samcoupe %ROM%</command>
      <platform>samcoupe</platform>
      <theme>samcoupe</theme>
      <directlaunch/>
      </system>

      But there's still no sign of it on the ES menu. What have I missed? Anyone? Bueller?

        @spudsmctoole you sure you don't have a custom es_systems.cfg that's overriding the default? Or parsing gamelist option?

          @herb_fargus That IS my custom es_systems.cfg, but I've checked the other one and it's not doing anything that should conflict with that.

          EDIT: Oh, wait! The SAM lines were in a weird place in the other es_systems.cfg and I hadn't spotted them. I don't actually see anything different in them to mine, but replacing mine with that one worked, so yay! Cheers :)
