      Hello

I'm quite new with RetroPie v3.8 (as well as Linux) and have this Problem(s):
Rasperry Pi 2 has no sound via HDMI (newest Version 3.8 of RetroPie as well as v3.7). Sound from 3.5mm jack works.

      What I already tried out:

      • Changed sound volume settings on RetroPie -> still no sound from HDMI

      • Tried out some other games from RetroPie -> still no sound from HDMI

      • Checked a second Raspberry 2 board -> still no sound from HDMI

      • Checked an old Raspberry 1 board -> still no sound from HDMI

      • Changed HDMI-Cable to TV -> still no sound from HDMI

      • Changed TV -> still no sound from HDMI

      • Installed KODI on both Rasberry boards (means v1 and v2) -> sound from HDMI ok!

Even when I am a beginner, it seams quite sure that my problems is due to a failure in the RetroPie release - or am I wrong?
Has anyone a hint for me? :-/

      Regards,
      Roman

Have you gone through http://elinux.org/R-Pi_Troubleshooting#Sound / https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Sound-Issues ? (the hdmi_drive=2 option is the most likely fix)

Thank you very much - that was it!
Sorry, looking back, it was a silly question... :-/
