      I noticed that the comments in retroarch.cfg for video_smooth indicate that you should generally not run with video_smooth = true when you are using pixel shaders. Makes sense as you probably dont want to add another bluring layer on top of a pixel shader already designed to do that.

      I use crt-pi-curvature for nearly all my titles. I did some experimenting with video_smooth enabled and disabled and it seemed to make no visual difference at all.

      I wondering if maybe something changed with retroarch such that when pixel shaders are active video_smooth is assumed to be false regardless of its setting in the cfg?

      I wanted to update all my games so that any with video_shader_enable also have video_smooth = "false" but should I bother?

        Oh nevermind. It looks like the default setting is false anyway. Not sure why I was confused into thinking it was on by default.

        # Smoothens picture with bilinear filtering. Should be disabled if using pixel shaders.
        video_smooth = "false"
