Why cant i get the borders to work..

i downloaded a bunch of overlays for consoles. I copy them in the overlay folder in retropie. After this i went to retroarch and select them.. But nothing. Is there a easy way that i dont see>
This is my NES Retroarch.CFG file
Settings made here will only override settings in the global retroarch.cfg if placed above the #include line
input_remapping_directory = "/opt/retropie/configs/nes/"
input_overlay = ""
input_overlay_enable = "true"
#include "/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg" -
@trekdrop You need to define the path, ie
input_overlay = "~/.config/retroarch/overlay/borders/nes.cfg" -
