      This is the error message i get when running ./emulationstation. I followed this tutorial exactly. I have a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B. I've searched Google to no avail. Thanks for any support you can offer.

      My goal is to install Retro Pie along side Raspian so I can switch between the two.

      I wasn't clear. I installed EmulationStation with NOOBS. I want to be able to have NOOBS and Emulation Station.

        That is not how to install retropie - that is manual installation of the Emulation Station frontend only. You might do better to use a premade image - note that the RetroPie images are Raspbian Lite.
