Gamepad not detected...
-
I've had my Retro Pi for over a year now and it's worked really well for me. Recently, however, whenever I put in my controller and system to play, I will get a message popping up saying that my gamepad is not being detected. I put my controller into each of the four ports on the side and pressed the button for a long time for each port. I didn't get anything. I got out my keyboard and pressed F4 and typed in the rebooting code thinking that all my system needed was a reboot. When it finished rebooting, all I got was the same message. I'd like to know if there is any other thing I should do or if I should just get a new controller or if it's something with the television I am using.

@alextothepast5 The system does not detect your controller, can you try plugging the controller on another system (Windows/Linux pc) and see if it's detected ? If you got it running until now, the only thing that comes into mind is the controller or the USB cable not working anymore.

@alextothepast5 What @mitu said. Also, does the controller show up if you enter
lsusb
in the command console when it's plugged in? -
@mitu I've plugged it into my Linux and I've figured out that my controller wasn't responding to it. I'm using a spare one that works a lot better. Thanks for the support.
