I'm running Retropie on Ubuntu 17.10 on an intel 3770k desktop.

Retropie has all the latest updates.

I'm using an 8bitdo SN30 pro plugged in via USB.

I do have the 8bitdo drivers installed.

Retropie sees it as an Xbox360 and does not register the L2 and R2 buttons at all.

Any help would be appreciated. I feel like I tried everything!

      Thank you!

There is not 8bitdo driver to be installed, did you install by any chance the xboxdrv package ?

Hi. Yeah I do have the Xboxdrv installed. I was afraid if I uninstalled it, the controller would stop working.

Why ? You don't need the xboxdrv installed for the 8bitdo controller, remove the package, then reboot and try re-configuring your controller in Emulationstation.

I fixed this by putting the SN30 Pro in Android mode. It is now working perfect.

If the xboxdrv had anything to do with it, that would mean you couldn't use a SN30 Pro and a XBox controller at the same time.

              Thanks!
