Rapsberry pi 3 overclocked to 1.4
      Advanced mame 3.7 and others
Ps4 controller wired and dragon rise joystick

So I have been messing around with different emulators. I recently installed advanced mame 3.7 and have been able to boot and play primal rage. It is pretty slow at times but way better than before. I don't care if the blood is brown or that there are some animation glitches, which happen when characters get knocked down but only then. Has anybody gotten it to work on anything?

This is one of those games that's right at the brink of being playable on the Pi. I seem to remember having the most luck in frame rate with lr-mame2003, but I still don't believe I got a steady 60 fps. To be honest, when I want to play this, I usually just resort to the Sega 32x port.

@mediamogul the 32x one? I have been going with the psx one. I'll have to give the 32x version a try. Edit :I just tried the 32x one. It's decent but I prefer the psx version.

It is the better of the two. However, I'm not personally all that crazy about the game and the PSX version takes up more space than I'd like to commit to it. The absolute best port is probably the Sega Saturn version, but of course it won't run well on the Pi. Funny thing about the Saturn port is that it's actually more accurate than emulating the arcade original, as the security in the original ROM removes several features and basic abilities.

@mediamogul maybe if we are lucky the next pi will support gles3 and we might get some more choices for Saturn emmulation.

That would indeed be super sweet. If it would just run 'Dragon Force' reasonably well I'd be happy.
