Hi so I have noticed something recently. When I launch my Neo Geo games from FBA and when I try to enable free play it wont work immediately. It order for it to work I will to either exit back to emulation station or close content and relaunch through retroarch.
However Neo Geo games that were already configured to free play work just fine, but if I turn off free play through retroarch. It will turn off but I can't re enable until I exit or close content again.

Now this started happening ever since I updated to Retroarch 1.7.1. I used to be able to enable free play easily simply, and If I had an issue I would just restart the game and it would work fine. Now I did do another update recently to update any files and the problem seemed to disappear. But now it seems to have come back. I know this may seem minor but if unchecked it may lead to further issues down the road. Can anyone else confirm this too? My retropie script is up to 4.3.16.

Freeplay was broken in lr-fbalpha from september 2017 to march 2018. You are probably updating lr-fbalpha from binary, and the binary is probably an old version.
