Please Upload Retropie as a Torrent!
-
Wow! I was impressed to see that Retropie is just shy of 1Gb and tried to download it.
Unfortunately, I be one of those ppr saps that live in the 3rd world and my connection keeps timing out.....
I searched for a torrent and found a magnet, but it appears to be no longer working....
Would somebody out there in the 1st world be kind enough to upload Retropie as a torrent for a day or two and post the magnet here so that we poor sods at the end of cyberspace may have a chance to experience this beautiful piece of software...
Thanking you from the deserts of Namibia!

More or less I am in the same question. In China there is the great firewall. If I can get the 3.8 before today, I will put it on KAT...

Thanks, out of curiosity, how come the torrent shows as +2Gb?

@mortymoose
Yup, good catch. It's the uncompressed image...my computer must've automatically unzipped the original file and I didn't realise when I made the torrent.Previous link updated.

Mine is "legal" size.
If you want some games, there is also a DVD image :
removed by admin. Next infringement is a ban
At leats SNES games are working.

Big thanks Mortymoose.

@Emilio do NOT post links to roms! Read the forum rules.

The MD5 of the torrent file for 2/3 does not match the MD5 of the web file! This is not the same file.
Please, can upload the original file instead of the uncompressed->compressed file again? Just to ensure it is virus-free :) -
@jcx64 - If you're referring to my torrent it's not a self-compressed file; I redownloaded the gzipped original and created a new torrent with it...not sure why the hash doesn't match.
[edit] Just double-checked...did you spot that the official Retropie image is now at 3.8.1? My torrent is the 3.8 version; not sure what the hash is of that file as it's no longer available to download.
Good call mind you, file hashes are something I never check, but probably should when I'm supplying files to other people. If there did happen to be a virus in there I'd never even know about it (Mac/Linux user with no antivirus installed).
