      Hello Gents,

So, the question is in the title. I do have a j-pac in my arcade cabinet, and I can not find a way to configure a keyboard shortcut to quit advmame 1.4.
To quit other emulators, I need to press start + +select, and I get back to emulationstation, but when I'm in advmame, I have no other way to exit the game that having to plug a keyboard and press escape key.

I've went through the emulator input config, but no exit button is configurable :(
Even worse, the J-pac stops working when the keyboard is plugged in, meaning I can't use both of them and just press esc on the keyboard to exit the emulator easily.

      Any ideas ? :)

I believe the it's called "UI Cancel". It exits the config menu and when not in the config menu (in game playing) it will bring up a prompt to exit the emulator. I have mine configured like below to exit using keyboard or joystick. What is the button value you have configured to exit the J-PAC? The default is ESC. You can assign ESC to a button or use another button to exit and assign it in AdvMAME.

UI Cancel esc or j:select j:start

EDIT: @caver01 Is there a setting in AdvMAME for Enter? I actually assign one of my arcade buttons to Enter when confirming on exit in AdvMAME.

You can change the exit key/button combination inside the AdvanceMame menu - as previously posted look for UI_Cancel.

If you want to loose that annoying quit dialogue that pops up take a look in the advmame-1.4.rc file for Misc_Safequit and set this to a resounding No.

Oh! Thanks for the tip, that dialogue message has always been a pain. I had no idea you could remove it.
