      Hi everyone,
What trackballs are supported by the I-pac 2 and RaspberryPi 3?

@jkristof The question is really two questions:

        1. What trackballs are supported by the IPAC2?
This isn't really a question for RetroPie, but rather, a question for Ultimarc.

        2. What trackball support is there on the Raspberry Pi 3?

As far as Pi support goes, a trackball should work like a mouse interface to the Raspberry Pi--any model. The best answer would have to come from someone who is using an IPAC2 on a Pi. I use the Ultimarc U-Trak, which I expect behaves similarly. I can tell you that it does indeed work like a mouse. If I run X I can move the cursor--it's a mouse.

It's one thing to have your trackball move a cursor on the desktop in X. It's something else to tap into that device with an emulator. Not all emulators do it. AdvanceMAME works very well with mouse interface devices (trackballs and spinners) if properly configured.
This Post describes the settings you need. It's probably your best MAME option.

I also have the trackball working fine in QUAKE 3 without any configuration needed, and I expect other ports that support the mouse would also work.
