I'm currently installed retropie on a rpi3... but when I go to configure/tools the spash screen configuration is not available. It says that splash screen is not available or enabled. Can someone help walk me through the steps to download and activate the script?

        Go to retropie setup

Then under optional packages you will see it

        RPi B & RPi 3B OC (Now Raspberry pi 4b 8gb)
        Retropie (Latest Stable)
PiBox with Wind Tunnel Cooling System

when I look through the optional packages I don't see the package for splash screens... is it abbreviated in some fashion?

@Drakaen391 I think that most of the optional packages are for emulators....

I was wrong, it’s under main (number 834).... which makes me want to suggest running the basic install

@Drakaen391 Ok... sounds like a plan I'll try that... will that erase all of the roms I currently have installed?

welp, that didn't work either @Drakaen391 .... I tried uninstalling retropie altogether and re-installing and that didn't seem to do the trick either. For whatever reason it will not allow me to enable the splash screen.

@blaster you may have something curropted...

The next step would be to back up your roms and such and reflash the SD Card
