      Go to retropie setup

Then under optional packages you will see it

      RPi B & RPi 3B OC (Now Raspberry pi 4b 8gb)
      Retropie (Latest Stable)
PiBox with Wind Tunnel Cooling System

when I look through the optional packages I don't see the package for splash screens... is it abbreviated in some fashion?

@Drakaen391 I think that most of the optional packages are for emulators....

I was wrong, it’s under main (number 834).... which makes me want to suggest running the basic install

@Drakaen391 Ok... sounds like a plan I'll try that... will that erase all of the roms I currently have installed?

welp, that didn't work either @Drakaen391 .... I tried uninstalling retropie altogether and re-installing and that didn't seem to do the trick either. For whatever reason it will not allow me to enable the splash screen.

@blaster you may have something curropted...

The next step would be to back up your roms and such and reflash the SD Card
