I made an arcade stick to use with retropie. I used a cheap chinese kit with zero delay usb encoder. I use a Raspberry Pi 3B with reropie version 4.3.5 When i start up i get the gamepad detected menu. I make the settings and everything works until i want to play a game. In yellow writing i read gamepad not configured and from then on nothing works anymore. Can anybody tell me what is wrong and how to fix it? Thanks a lot

You may need to program the different emulators to detect your gamepad USB encoder.

        Try this: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/RetroArch-Configuration#core-input-remapping

Or....you may need to go with a "better" Zero Delay USB Encoder as sometimes those things come broken from China. I've had a problem buying "Chinese" Arduino boards and have every other board work and the others are broken right out of the packaging.

Thanks for the helping hand. It seems the cheap kit is doing ok. It was the image i used. So i started once again from the beginning and no it works perfectly fine.
