What should I do next

So I have a retropie 4.3 on a pi3b I've done the following with it
Added a video splash screen
Changed the theme
Added background music
Scraped all metadata including video previews
Changed loading screensSo here are things I've seen but I'm not totally sure how to do
I haven't really set up arcade stuff, because I have a controller.
I have seen some people manage to add a background music menu option - mine just plays and stops when I start a game
I tried overclocking, but I have no fan and found the benefits minimal so just using normal settings.
I could download 4.4 but I've read mixed reviews and my 4.3 set up is working smoothly...Does anyone have any suggestions, if so can you tell me the best place to start, I'm by no means a coding expert
Cheers

How about playing ?

@mitu I do that too. I also added retroachievements. I like tinkering as much as playing so I just want to make sure there's nothing else I could do to improve my setup.

You play arcade games with a controller. https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Arcade/

Interesting! I always thought you'd need an arcade stick. I've just read your guide regarding arcade and it's really good. Might have a bash at this.

Now that is an idea I've had. Concerns I've got is I'm not great with fiddly parts and I've never soldered anything in my life.
There seem to be a few options out there for handhelds, I now the raspiboy doesn't require soldering so I'm tempted by that...

@jste84 I made one raspiboy, I thought the buttons felt terrible and I took the pi zero out of it and the raspiboy sits in a box, never used. Check out Freeplaytech, they are incredible! I soldered my pi zero but you can buy a solderless hammer unit or one that uses a pi3 built in I believe. Good luck either way!

@jste84 If you are using "lr" emulators - your controllers are already configures for arcade play right now.
