Hello. So, I got a Standard "Power SW" out of an PC. It has a Red and a Black Cable. Now, I wanted to ask, do I have to soder the wires to specific Holes? I know I have to Soder them to the 2 Holes which are labeled "Run", but does the Color matter?

@darkside1305 No it doesn’t matter as it’s just a momentary contact.

Well, the Button does absolutely nothing. If I hold the Wires togheter on the other Hand, my Pi gets Stuck in a Boot Loop, showing nothing

Are you using a momentary switch or an on/off one? It only needs a momentary contact otherwise it will forever be resetting itself.

@Fruitybit I dont know what kind of Switch it is. Its just an ordinary Power SW out of an Computer Case. If I press the Button, absolutely nothing happens, when the Cables are not connected. If I let the 2 Cables touch, the Button still does nothing but my Raspberry Pi reboots forever.

The cables only need to make contact for a brief moment. That initiates the reboot. You need to check whether your switch a: actually works, and b: is it momentary/press to make, or on or off all the time.
You’d ideally need a continuity or resistance tester on a voltmeter for example, or test it (off the pi) with a small bulb and battery to see what happens to the bulb.
What you want is a switch that only makes contact when you press it, not one that stays on once pressed.
If you have a voltmeter, put it to resistance and check what happens again. It should show infinite resistance when off and next to zero resistance when you press it. (And only when you press it!)

@darkside1305 You still need to check when it has continuity. Is it sprung? Does it click when you push it??

@darkside1305 It could well be an on/off switch then. Can you test it at all?

@Fruitybit Nevermind, it works. The Button was just simply broken. Got another one, works like a charm
