Project Play Station

Back when the snes was still out on market, one man approached Nintendo. That man proposed a Super Famicom with a disk driver built into the system. Nintendo liked the idea so they went through with it... Till they reached a disagreement on who gets paid what amount. The Nintendo went to Philips. Witch was one of the worst decisions Nintendo could ever make. Now thanks to some images of the prototypes it sparked a idea. I will try to take on the task of 3D printing the case (because my school got some 3D printers from the technology fund) and acquiring all the hardware.

The case is underway. By underway I mean that I am building the prototype for the outline of the case. Again some help would be appreciated.

A custom themeThemes are a lot of work. Your best bet might be to ask the community for help in understanding how you could go about creating one yourself. A recent post from @EctoOne offering some initial help to someone else can be found here.

A custom themeI assume by the title, that you're looking for a Play Station theme?
Maybe that's what you want. https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/11794/new-theme-playstation
Plus there is a video boot screen here, https://retropie.org.uk/forum/post/27272 -
Actually, he's talking about the Nintendo Play Station and not the Sony Playstation.
-
@mediamogul Oh I see. I have not found any images of the UI of that system, so maybe modifying an existing theme would be the easiest then.

There's very little out there to go on other than a boot screen. Here's two videos.

@mediamogul hmm, yeah I've seen the boot screen. I'm not even sure if it had some sort of UI like the Sony version or only shows an No Game found screen. If it had one, I would assume that it would be similar to to the NDS menu, with the Rom at the top and the CD at the bottom.
I would combine that with some elements of the NES/SNES mini themes. -
Update 2: Prototype case is finished
