      I'm able to view and scroll through the installed themes, but how do I apply one of them?

        @pandamkii

        Start -> UI Settings -> Theme Set

        Arrow left or right to choose from the selection of installed themes or select the menu open to see the list.

                I know how to do that, but how do I select one out of the slideshow? Do I have to use a keyboard if I'm using the keyboard?

                  Retropie system menu-> ES Themes

                  Pick one from the list.

                      You should also be able to use an attached controller if it's supported.

                        I am running the PiGRRL 2.0 setup. I am able to scroll through all of the options, but I don't know what button I'm supposed to press to apply the theme.

                          Have you tried all the available buttons?

                            The d-pad, all of the letter buttons, and even the shoulder buttons, yes.

                                Ah, so the buttons register as keyboard input. You'll need to use the 'enter' key then by whatever means you're able.

                                  I am, it ain't budging. I've got a lead, though: When I press the y button, it says, "...readonly mode, sorry..." the sides are cut off and I'm not able to read the entire thing.

                                    When you back out of the gallery, is there a menu to select the themes from a text list?
