Pi Model or other hardware: Pi 3 B+
      RetroPie Version Used : 4.4
Built From: Pre made SD on RetroPie website
      USB Devices connected: Controller
Controller used: Buffalo iBuffalo Classic USB Gamepad and 8Bitdo SF30 Pro Controller

I'm having a great deal of trouble getting my controller to properly bind keys. Everything works fine in the RetroPie GUI. I'm able to set the buttons up on both controllers the way I want them. But when I get in game everything is all messed up, none of the inputs are set the way I've set them up. The problem appears to only happen when running SNES games and is on both controllers.

I've tried resetting the controllers in retropi setup multiple times and that doesn't seem to be accomplishing anything. What else can I try?

@olybenjamin Re-install the SNES emulator you're using, you might have overwritten some of RA's settings if you used save_on_exit and this has the potential to mess your settings.

For the SF30 Pro controller enable it for Switch and it will work cause i did that and i got everything working.
As for the other controllers i have never used them so i am not able to help out with that.
