The Nintendo Ds problem
-
@harryhirsch4 You can get it, but you have to download it manually.
Open Emulationstation and go to "Retropie" > Retropie Setup > Manage Packages > Manage experimental packages > (215) lr-desmume and "Install from source".You can also install "lr-desmume 2015" if you want.
Here you have all info that you need.

Or you can install drastic which is my preferred nds emulator.
-
@edmaul69 I would like to use Drastic but i haven't found it in the experimental and optional packages.
Do you know where it is? -
@boltio3 Drastic in only available for the Raspberry Pi systems - if you're on the PC, then it's not available.
-
@mitu I see... Thanks.
-
I would like to install a DS emulator, I would prefer to use Drastic since I can install from binary and it shouldn't take as long to install as doing for from source only with lr-desmume.
My question is can I use retroarch cheats with drastic? Or do they have to be manually added depending on the game?
Thanks for any help
-
@mat drastic doesnt use retroarch.
-
@edmaul69 Does drastic use cheats though?
-
@mat personally i havent seen anything that implies it would.
-
@mat Seems to support cheats - see this forum post at the author's site.
-
@mitu I saw that in a google search, but it looked like instructions for windows, wasn't sure about Pi & I use a mac.
-
@mat The instructions look like Windows, but only because a windows program is used to prepare the cheats file. Drastic doesn't run on Windows.
