Pi Model or other hardware: raspberry pi 3
Power Supply used: selfmade power supply unit
      RetroPie Version Used : 4.1

Years ago me and my friend played a lot of Blade & Soul on the PS1. We wanted to play the game on the psx emulatoron retropie. But we had a problem: to play together we had to do several things: create a character and save it on the memory card of the PS1.
Then we had to create the second char and load the other one into the party ~ from the memory card.

The problem is, that we can‘t save the chars on the memorycard, so we can‘t load the characters.

Is there a way to save the chars?

      Thanks for your help
      Have a great weekend

@gdi And you have no problems saving other games to the 'memory card' (.srm saves)?

@gdi SRM states are usually created automatically during the game itself (checkpoints....) then the SMR file is created. As far as I understood, MCR files and SRM files are the same (except the file extension) and can be transfered to MemoryCard and vice versa.

Remeber: The savestate needs to be the EXACT same file name as the ROM/BIN/IMG file to be used with RetroPie

EDIT: Yes I'm correct ... Read more here

@gdi Ignore the ingame Retroarch menu for saving. Just save the game how you would do it like it was an actual Playstation. Should work just fine.
