Hello, I have my Retropie Image 3.8.1 download for PI3 . I have 2 Logitech Rumple Pad 2 gamepads . At start of emulation station he shows me these are connected 2 gamepads and I will press a button to configure . But it reacts not a single button , whatever I press , nothing happens . When it comes Keyboard . the funny thing is that these two gamepads be easily detected in the 3.7 version . What's different now ? and what you can do about it?

Do you have different power on modes for them ? I have read that they need to be powered on in XInput mode rather than DirectInput now.

Unfortunately I do not know it. The gamepads are working fine with the version 3.7 . I also have a USB SNES gamepad . This works .

Check for a switch underneath / read the manual.

            This might help also

I have the same problem. From research is seems to be a missing kernel option as it's fixed in OSMC?

                  https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues/1496

rpi-update should sort it, or wait till a new kernel is packaged. Controller may still work in xinput mode.
