Sorry, but I've searched around and can't really find the answer I'm looking for. Basically, I want to know if there's a way to play videos off of a thumb drive within retropie. I have a Rasberry pi 3 b and an official power supply running Retropie 4.3. It seems like you can through Kodi, but I don't know if that's something I can install under retropie or it has to be on another SD card. Thanks in advance guys.

@flashything Kodi can be installed from the RetroPie setup script - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/KODI/. RetroPie does not have other OOB supported video playback capability. Emulationstation knows to play video snaps associated with the games, but that's about it.

@mitu Thanks for the quick reply. Forgive me while I try to understand: so can I install Kodi within retropie, go into it like say going into an emulator menu then play them from there?

@flashything yes, you select kodi in emulation station, plug in a USB stick and stream movies from it.
