I'm not sure if this is where I ask. So I I started off with a clean install of retropie 4.4, then went to retropie setup menu to install attractmode. Then I followed a YouTube tutorial to add the attractmode menu to emulationstation. Then I rebooted to attractmode, and there is no emulationstation menu in attractmode. I Google searched it but can't find any info on how to add emulationstation to attractmode menu. Also there is no shutdown in the menu either. How would I go about getting these?

@fishman Unless I'm misunderstanding what you are asking, Attract Mode and Emulationstation are both front ends for emulators. You don't use one within the other, you use one instead of the other, they are completely separate.

It's been a while since I used Attract Mode, and I don't have access to my pi right now, but I think if you bring up the menu in Attract Mode there is an option to exit?

@fishman I believe you would have to first quit Attract Mode and then type "emulationstation" at the command line. I don't know of any other way.

But there are many, many people here far more intelligent than I am about this sort of thing, so maybe someone else would know of a script or other method to do what you want to do.
