Gamepad not Configured - SNES only problem

hello, i'm having some serious problems with retropie 3.8
today i was playing some snes games as usual, when all of a sudden, changing from a game to another, i see the Yellow message "usb gamepad not configured". i've tried also my two playstation 3 usb controllers but the message is still here. this happens only with snes roms.i've tried everything, in the retroarch config file and the various gamepad config files the line input_joypad_driver is "udev" as someone with my problem suggests, but nothing changes.
please, help me!
