Haven't been on my pi for a while. This is a new 3B+ version 4.1 that I had working just fine.

Decided to boot it up and run a full update to today's version (July 22, sorry I'm not sure what the current update number is at)... and during reboot, but after the splashscreen, the screen returns to text and I get this "retropie3bplus login" prompt that I've not seen before. Any ideas? Nothing unusual connected, just a hardwired USB PS4 joystick connected.

Pic of login screen here: https://i.imgur.com/xpx2s5P.jpg (with a character or two cut off on my CRT)

It's because of a Raspbian update that breaks the autologin - see https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/18591/asking-for-retropie-login-on-boot-after-update/ for a solution.
