It could be your television. Make sure all audio/video post-processing features are turned off. Many televisions have a 'Game Mode', others have individual settings and some have both.

I use the latest version of retropie

RetroPie is constantly being updated. Sometimes as often as by the hour. Saying that you're using "the latest" doesn't really give us enough information to go on. The required information for a support request is detailed at https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

If you could give some more information about your system, as detailed in the link above, it may help with other possibilities.

@pierouge Are you using an HDMI cable? What resolution is Retropie Set to compared with your TV - more information is needed. It's not something I have seen or experienced.

I actually have the same issue. On my Samsung 46 inch TV connected by hdmi I get a delay of about 1-2 seconds on the ES menu when moving from game to game. I have game mode on the TV.

Come to think of it though, I have a Yamaha surround system that I have adjusted the audio delay(lip sync setting) because for some reason the audio was slightly off once I installed the receiver. I just disabled that option on the receiver for the Pi's HDMI output and it seems to be in sync now. Could this be your issue?
