Raspberry PI 3 B+ does not boot
-
I'm trying to use an image that has all my roms in it from a raspberry pi 3 but I wasn't getting an image so I updated retropie to the latest, I ran sudo apt upgrade/update as well and now when I boot I get a black screen with a yellow lightning bolt sign in top right corner. if I switch the SD card back to the pi 3 works fine. I installed a fresh retropie image on a different SD card and no issues on the PI 3 B+. any ideas?

Your power supply sounds like it doesn't work well with the 3B+. Lightning bolt means it isn't getting enough power.

@siniestro02 The new 3B+ requires Raspbian Stretch whereas the 3B ran on Jesse. There are some topics about migrating if you search but you may want to start from a fresh Stretch 4.4 image and copy all of your saves and rom folders back over.

A pre 4.4 image won't work on the Raspberry Pi 3+ even if you update packages. 3+ needs a Debian Stretch based image.

I'm going to have to research on the Stretch image other wise I have to start from scratch. I have a lot of config so I was looking to clone my old image. thank you all I really appreciate the help.

@siniestro02 Not much to research. Updating that image to stretch will take hours and have fun troubleshooting why stuff isn't loading because of missing libs. It's faster to transfer your stuff to the new 4.4 image. I don't recommend you copy over your retroarch configs. There might be issues.
