If you get the error Illegal Instruction when it boots or if it just boots into the terminal, you picked the wrong SD image or the image was corrupted on download or extraction.

@mcbone We don't support 3rd party images. If you bought one with Retropie installed, you've been scammed - ask the seller for support.

Who is "you"? Do you believe that you have purchased something from here? Nobody sent you anything and nobody needs to talk to ebay. Retropie is free and can be downloaded from this site. It's not for sale. It cannot be sold. It doesn't come with roms. I think you are misunderstanding. This is a support forum where lots of help exists. You have been scammed so you need to contact the seller and it is very likely that the image is incorrectly configured. Nobody needs to buy retropie - ever.
