      Hello all. Please help as I searched and just Too new to this all and need some advice on 2 things .

      First off, I have a bartop arcade with a pi 3b+ attached via hdmi to monitor. Sound options direct using hdmi and I hear sound from speakers. I have attached a 3.5 mm cable to speaker amp and other end to monitors audio out .

      I can’t get any sound out of my speakers attached to amp. I tested cable and plugged in cellphone and it works fine.

      Second issue is how to add the Dragons Lair game missing from my Daphne rom collection in my current image.

      Thank you

      I am running a raspberry pi 3b+. I have it in a case with 3 heat sinks and a fan with included supplied power adapter (5V/2.5A). I placed a 200gb sdxc card with a prebuilt image on it built from Retropie 4.4.1 .

      I have placed this is a deluxe bartop arcade setup I purchased thru gameroomsolutions.com

            @gomezdad which prebuilt image is this? 3rd party images aren't supported here. Is it one you've built yourself from the official image on the Retropie site?

            Retropie in a NES - Pi 3 with Mausberry circuit shutdown switch wired to buttons and 8bitdo NesPro30 controller
            Retropie in a Saturn Controller - Pi Zero, GPIO controls using DB9 driver
            Retropie in a PSX - Pi3

              It’s a third party so I guess you can’t help.

              But image is not issue. Just was hoping to get idea of setting change elsewhere besides audio settings to get sound out of speakers via 3.5 mm

                @gomezdad said in Help with Bartop arcade speaker sound and Daphne game:

                But image is not issue.

                Unfortunately, for these types of problems, it usually is the issue. The sellers who configure their images often either don't care, or even know even enough to properly test their releases. Also, because neither you nor we know what all was altered, troubleshooting can be a very difficult process.

                  I'd try re-installing the retropie image and if I'm not mistaken putting sound out through the 3.5mm jack is easy. Go to the retropie configuration menu, choose sound and then choose aux/3.5mm. Wait for the success line in the bottom left and restart the system.

                    @ddoherty958

                    Thank you. I had some issues when I attempted to update “installed packages” so I just got done reflashing sdcard. When I get home tonight, I’ll reinstall in pi And boot up.

                    I read that it’s not best to use the 3.5 jack on pi but I can give that a shot if I cAnt get monitor to output sound thru the audio out jack on monitor

                    Thanks again

                      @gomezdad If you get white noise from the 3.5 jack, you can try another audio driver by adding this line to your /boot/config.txt:

                      audio_pwm_mode=2

                      It's said to be experimental, but it improved the 3.5mm sound on my Pi 3b significantly.

                      You can also look at White Noise Fix in the Docs for more solutions.
