I choose to install an emulator (Amiberry) from source, although a binary was available.

When I now choose update in RetroPie-Setup and select to update packages, then my source installation is overwritten by the binary installation.

This seems like a bug to me. If updating a package that I installed from source, then the update script should install from source again.
