Is there a way to cut off a (background) image instead of fitting it to the screen?
      Example:
I want to use an image with a 16:9 ratio that is centered using:

      <origin>0.5 0.5</origin>
      <pos>0.5 0.5</pos>

When I set my resolution to 4:3, I want to achieve that the sides get cut off and not that the image will be compressed when using <size>1 1</size> or to get borders at the top/bottom when using <maxSize>1 1</maxSize>.

That's a good idea. As you mentioned on another post, this could make it much easier to make themes compatible with the 4:3 format.

        Cheers,
