Reicast on my retropie not working...

Running retropie 4.4.2 on rpi3
I am having difficulties with setting up dreamcast to play on my retropie
I launch +start reicast from the list and it says "Launching reicast …" for like 15 seconds then goes back to the dreamcast rom list, What did I do wrong, do I need to use another bios? do I need to uninstall reicast from retropie and start over? -

Check if you have the proper location and files for the BIOS - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Dreamcast/#bios. Errors are logged in the
/dev/shm/runcommand.logfile, so if the problem is not the BIOS, then get the contents of that file and paste it here. -
The dc_boot.bin and dc_flash.bin is in the dc file in /home/pi/RetroPie/bios
I inputed /dev/shm/runcommand.log and the response I got was: "Permission denied" -

That's not how you open a file in Linux. Use SSH and copy the file from the filesystem, then open it on your PC to take a look at it/paste it here. Also, have you checked the docs I mentioned and the checksum of your BIOS files ?
