I'm using a crt, and have set up disable_overscan=1, and retroarch to pretty much get the exact picture I want on my games. Unfortunately ES is is severely under scanned as a result. I have the scripts for switching between mode 16 and mode 0, when launching and exiting roms, and was wondering if there was something similar to setting overscan on the fly. I've found this on github, but it only changes the terminal on the fly, and then permanently changes overscan settings in /boot/config.txt on reboot. I've also tried adding fbset -left -right -upper - lower to the scripts above, but there seems no change.
